About me and my approach
I am originally from Bulgaria and moved to the Netherlands in 2023 to pursue higher education. During my training, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
In my work, I take an integrative approach, combining techniques from these modalities and tailoring each session to the individual’s unique needs. My practice is person-centered, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves care that is compassionate, adaptive, and aligned with their personal circumstances, values, and goals.
I am open-minded, empathetic, and patient, with a strong commitment to ethical integrity. I am currently training in Gestalt psychotherapy and have experience working within employee assistance services as well as the Dutch mental health care system.
I specialize in supporting internationals and have worked with clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, including American, Brazilian, British, Bulgarian, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Indian, Italian, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, among many others.
