Terms & Conditions

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions apply to all psychological services provided by Kalina Hristova, located in the Netherlands. By engaging in therapy services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Nature of Services

Kalina Hristova provides online psychological therapy and consultation services. These sessions are intended to support mental well-being and personal development. They do not replace medical or psychiatric treatment.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

  • Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
  • Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before the scheduled time) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
  • Repeated cancellations or missed sessions may result in termination of the therapeutic relationship.

4. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are communicated prior to the start of therapy and are payable after each session, as indicated on the invoice.
  • Kalina Hristova does not work with Dutch health insurance providers, and clients are responsible for covering the full session fee privately.
  • Payment details will be provided via invoice sent by email after each session.

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • All information shared during sessions is treated as strictly confidential, in accordance with the Dutch privacy legislation (AVG/GDPR).
  • Personal data will be used solely for the purposes of providing psychological services and administrative processing.
  • Information may only be disclosed to third parties with the client’s explicit written consent, unless required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).

6. Complaints Procedure

Kalina Hristova is affiliated with the NIP complaints scheme in accordance with the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). A client who is dissatisfied with the care provided is asked to first raise the matter with the practitioner during the session or via email. If this does not lead to a satisfactory outcome, the client may submit a complaint to the independent complaints officer of the NIP complaints scheme.

7. Limitation of Liability

While therapy aims to support your psychological well-being, Kalina Hristova cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Clients are responsible for their own decisions and actions during and after therapy.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising in relation to these terms shall be handled in accordance with Dutch legal standards.
